Cody, Scott
I was involved in a jetski accident on September 22, 2004 at Lake Sammamish and I found out through an HR contact at work (Debbie Melton) that you guys were the ones on the call. I and my wife would like to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for the amazing work that you did. Even though I’ve never met you, I’ll be forever grateful.
I’ve made a full recovery; no brain injuries and no lasting injuries besides a little numbness in my right arm and chest that I’m told will most likely go away. If you didn’t know, the accident broke 11 of my right ribs front and back, collapsed my right lung, broke my scapula, my pelvis in two places and the transverse process of my C7 vertebra.
I’m back at work now and doing very well and my wife is just about to have our first baby (a girl) next month. Without your lifesaving help, I never would have met my daughter or seen my wife again. Thank you for what you do; you guys are angels.
If you’re interested in what happened during and after the accident (through my recovery), I’ve written it all down at www.samandcortney.com (just look on the home page for a link to the story).
Thank you and God bless you both.

Sam,
I am so happy that you e-mailed us to let us know that you are alright. It is extremely hard for us to get patient information once we have transported a patient to the hospital. The hospital simply won't release any information to us regardless of who we are or how we were involved. Reading your e-mail made my night. I have often thought about you over the past few months and my wife and I had you on our prayer chain through our church. Scotty and I had no idea what happened after we left the hospital. We stood in the ER and watched the trauma team go to work and at the time it honestly didn't look very good. Not knowing you or your spirit, I had my doubts. All too often, accidents as severe as yours go the other way for us. No matter how hard we try there is just nothing we can do. So for us to find out that you have made a full recovery and have already returned back to work, and most importantly back to your family, is truly a blessing for us. Congratulations on your baby girl. I am so excited for you and your family. Judging from your website it sounds like your family is pretty amazing, your wife especially. I pray that God pours out all of the blessings in His arsenal, on you and your family in the future to come.
Sam, thank you for writing us. You have given Scotty and I more than you could ever know. I know that when the next time a call doesn't turn out the way I want it to, I will have something to remind me why I love what I do. That something is your e-mail and your story and I will use it to make those calls, that are sure to come, a little easier to get through. After reading about your entire experience on your website, I have to say that I am in awe of where you are at with your recovery. You have probably been told that a few times by your numerous doctors and nurses, but it is truly amazing. You are not the norm as far as patient recovery goes. The fact that you are, where you are, shows how strong your spirit is and how strong the support group backing you is. Draw these people even closer to you because as I have found, they will need you for support, sooner than you think.
God Bless you Sam
Sincerely,
Cody Ramstad
